ABOUT US
How We Work...
If you are here, you're probably trying to determine if we are the right sleep coaches for you. Here is a clear summary of what we do and importantly what we don't do.
What we do:
● We specialise in teaching babies (4-14 months-old) to sleep independently within 3-5 days using the Sound Asleep Guru bespoke method. We will always remove the dummy from babies of this age as it worsens sleep.
● With infants over 14-months-old, we work on strengthening sleep hygiene, building healthy sleep routines, work on bedtime battles and eliminating wake ups using age-appropriate methods. This is not through sleep training so it takes longer.
● We tailor the sleep routine to fit your life, your baby, and your specific needs, rather than using generic routines.
● We base our approach on scientific research, evidence, and real data to best assist each family.
● If you want, you can have support throughout our waking hours!
What we don't do:
● We don't use so-called "gentle" methods to address sleep issues in babies under 14 months. Our goal is to transform sleep wholly and rapidly. This means we cannot allow you to continue to co-sleep/bedshare. It also means that unless a toddler is old enough we do not work with them on floor beds or toddler beds- you can discuss this with us.
● We don't ever ask you to use Cry-it-out.
● We don't rely on generic routines that are not tailored to your baby's specific needs.
● We don't adhere to "wake windows," which we refer to as "fake windows." And we do not believe in 'overtiredness' and the nonsensical results of being awake a bit too long. There is no evidence to back these concepts up, so we do not acknowledge them in our practice.
● We don't require you to stay at home all day during the training, as that doesn't prepare you well for real-life situations.
● We don’t come to your home to do it for you, We think it is important that you can do this to maintain trust, bond and attachment.

Testimonials
What our clients have to say
Our journey hasn’t been straightforward- reflux, tongue ties, and 20 teeth by 15 months made sure of that, but the evidence-based support and guidance we’ve had from Lauren have been second to none. The sleep world is full of noise, myths, and scare tactics that make parents feel guilty for wanting rest. Lauren cuts through all of that with compassion, science, and results.
Our little boy now knows how to sleep. When he’s well, he settles beautifully, thrives on routine, and I’ve learned to trust him, and myself. I no longer obsess over wake windows, and I feel confident challenging misinformation about sleep and “cruelty.”
If one day we decide to have another baby, my entire outlook on sleep will be completely different, and that’s thanks to Lauren. I also know that if I ever have a question, I can drop her a quick WhatsApp and she’ll get back to me, even though our package has ended. What level of customer service is that!
If you’re in the trenches, exhausted, and unsure what to do for the best- please don’t hesitate. You matter too. Lauren and her team will help you see that this process is just as much for you as it is for your baby. We are all better, stronger, and more resilient with sleep. ❤️
We worked with Lauren when our twins were 6 months old and it changed our lives. Sounds dramatic but we went from multiple wake ups a night to our boys sleeping through ans going down seamlessly for naps. Since then we’ve used Lauren’s logic and advice each time we’ve needed to adjust naps.
There is so much stigma about sleep training or paying for sleep coaches but Lauren’s approach is backed by evidence and just makes perfect sense when she explains it. We found her extremely supportive and the results we had in a short space of time fundamentally saved our sanity. Thank you Lauren!
We worked with Grace who helped us to see that, using the guidance on the Instagram page, we’d already got a lot of strong foundations in place. She helped us to take that forward into strong & lasting good sleep and her tips and support have seen us through holidays to different time zones, 5 teeth coming through at once, 3.5 weeks straight of poorlies and more, despite all this we have only had about 3 nights total where we’ve had to go in to see our little man since he was 4 months old.
I cannot recommend the Sound Asleep Guru approach enough if you genuinely want to stop stressing about naps and “overtiredness”, commit to making real changes and transform sleep in your home.
I always caution friends that you need to be sure a sleep coach is right for you, if you’re desperate to keep rocking to sleep or cuddle napping then this isn’t the team for you. But if (like me!) you believe that great sleep makes you all happier and a better bonded family as a result, I promise you these guys’ time is worth a lot more than what they charge.
If you’re on the fence about sleep training I can’t recommend Lauren enough, please PLEASE remember that you as mum are JUST as important as baby, and they can’t thrive if you’re pouring from an empty cup
I’d been following sound asleep gurus page and found it useful and informative but couldn’t fix this sleep puzzle!
Lauren’s tweaks were relatively minor but literally the next night he slept through and the split nights stopped. He cut his first tooth during the first few days which caused some wake ups but once that settled down it’s been great again.
We are very grateful to have got rid of the split nights and now understand what the issue was! This isn’t a generic routine and is tailored specific for your baby which is why it works- thank you again.
My 7 month old son would wake 3-4 times per night and I would feed back to sleep each time. I was about to begin my return to work and would be reliant on grandparents for childcare for a few months before he started nursery. I didn't want them to feel that the only way he would sleep was to be walked in a pram for miles and miles, or in the car - especially with Autumn/Winter looming.
I was reliant on apps to tell me when naps were due, and had dabbled with a bit of sleep training with generic plans I'd found on the internet which resulted in a lot of crying and stress (from both of us!).
I found Lauren to be recommended on another mum's post on the peanut app, and she was highly praised on the thread by multiple parents. I bought the immediate fix package, logged 5 days worth of naps, night time sleep and feeds and then had our call with Lauren.
Lauren made it all make sense. A plan that was personalised to our son's individual sleep needs, and the flexibility to tweak this within reason without undoing progress.
Our call was 13 days ago, and we've just had our ninth through the night in a row (my son has never slept through the night before, ever!) An absolute gamechanger. I will shout far and loud about how much Lauren has helped us.
If you're on the fence, do it. You don't have to wait. My son wakes up happy every morning, and I am positive I'm a better mum now.
Thank you.
